I believe that evolution is not scientifically provable, and actually many scientific and historic proofs point to the existance of God and the validity of the creation story

When you say evolution is not scientifically provable what evidence do you have to support this claim? What you said really makes no sense at all to me so maybe you could fill us in on what Historic and Scientific proofs you have to support the existence of god. Also which God are you referring to? The ancient egyptians believed that at first there was just water and then the ground rose out of the water. This seems very likely considering water surrounds the land. Does this prove the Egyptian creation story is true?

So, I found out that I will not be able to respond on this site much anymore. I thought that I would be able to, and so i responded to path of reason's post, but now I will be gone. The God I am refering to is the God of Christianity. Sorry, I should've added that before. First of all, what I said was that many historic and scientific discoveries point to God. It would be really dumb to say that I could prove God beyond a shadow of a doubt and then say you need faith to believe in Him. Because this will be my last post, unfortunately, I will just cite my sources. The book Evidence for Christianity by Josh McDowell, the book The Fingerprints of God by Grant R. Jeffrey, and a website version of an encyclopedia called the Evolution Handbook by Vance Ferrell. That website is http://evolution-facts.org/Handbook%20TOC.htm. Please check these sources out some before you write me off. I used to be an evolutionist, I actually had read the books and had done alot of research on dinosaurs (I was going to be a paleontologist,) but through actually trying "the God thing" I saw that it was real. Well real enough, to check out more, and as I did and looked at some of these sources, I realized evolution didnt have much to say about anything. Really, it's biggest strength is that it is taught as fact, and so really no one looks for the facts anymore. That website is really interesting, and please at least look and check it out a little. Well basically that is all. I hope at least these sources encourage you to be open minded a little bit. I respect your beliefs, and I will never shove what I believe down anyone's throught. Ever. But I hope you can respect mine, and I hope this discussion goes on...

How come you won't be able to respond anymore? I have actually read Josh Macdowells book and it is filled with a ton of erroneous claims. Such as the bible was written in perfect harmony from front to back. Any biblical scholar will tell you that is simply not true. A better book I reccomend for christians in regards to Evolution is "The Language of God" by Francis Collins. He is the head of the Human Genome project and he is also a Christian. He accepts evolution and the big bang but considers them initiated by the God of Christianity. He considers the Adam and Eve story as not literal. I am really interested in what "Historic" And "Scientific" discoveries point to god, More specifically the God of Christianity.
